POSITION OVERVIEWSupervise maintenance personnel and procedures to
provide major, routine, preventative and emergency maintenance of
equipment and ensure economical and efficient operations.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and coordinate crafts and support personnel in field
maintenance activities of all equipment resulting in minimum
downtime and operating costs.
- Supervise daily repair work to ensure effective utilization of
manpower, materials, equipment and other resources as may be
required.
- Assist maintenance and operations personnel in developing
preventative maintenance programs resulting in lower costs and
operating downtimes.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance and take corrective
action when necessary.
- Participate and ensure compliance with Total Safety Culture
Program (TSCP) measures and goals.
- Effectively communicate goals and key performance indicators
(KPI's) to employees.
- Coach employees in their development toward accomplishing
goals.
- Engage in interactive management with employee-related
issues.
- Recognize and correct employee behaviors and plant operating
conditions to ensure a safe working environment, consistent with
company, local, state, and federal safety standards.
- Administer work procedures in accordance with company
policies.
- Locate parts, acquire quotes and provide necessary information
to purchasing and management through the requisitioning
process.
- Track requisitions and purchase orders through the purchasing
process until parts are received to meet delivery expectations.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Administer and participate in safety meetings.
- Responsible for executing, supporting and enforcing the
Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by
OIS policy, directives and principles.
- Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND
ABILITIES
- Must have above average knowledge of electrical systems, Statex
3 and Invetrtex Drive controls, Insight 6, Cat ET, D-Dec and A-Dec
engine controls, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and ability to read and
interpret schematics.
- Experience with Komatsu 830-E, 930-1, 930-4 Haul Trucks, Cat
994 Loaders, Letourneau L-1850 Loaders, Atlas Copco PV-271D Drills,
Cat 785 and 777 Water Trucks, Komatsu WD-600 RTD's, Cat834 RTD's,
Komatsu D-375 Dozers, CatD-9 and 10 Dozers.
- Must have a working knowledge of diesel engines. Detroit 16V
4000, Cummins OSK60, Cat 3516 Cat 3512, and the Cat C-Series
engines.
- The ability to troubleshoot, perform maintenance planning,
project management and predictive management is desirable.
- Must have good computer skills with MS Windows, MS Excel, MS
Word and MS Outlook.
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, weekends, and
holidays.
- Capable of managing time effectively and establishing
priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations. REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of college, technical school, or equivalent
experience.
- Five (5) years maintenance experience.
- One (1) year supervisory experience.A core value of ASARCO LLC
