Job Description:

About the Role: We are looking for a Vendor Credentialing Operations Specialist to join our Sales Support Team in Arizona who will be responsible for Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing including the overall review, compliance strategy and implementation of provider policies and requirements for supplier or vendor credentialing and hospital access for our field sales and clinical associates. Understands industry credentialing standards and works with internal functions and external suppliers to provide credentialing trainings, screenings and testing to satisfy compliance of the industry and provider requirements, thereby mitigating legal, financial, and significant business risk to Gore.

This position will be located at one of our facilities in Phoenix, Flagstaff, or Tempe, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and stay up to date on federal and state regulations, and hospital provider requirements that may impact need for trainings, policy changes or implementation of new processes
  • Communicate and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders both internal and external such as Sales, Legal, EH&S, Occupational Health, Data Privacy, Compliance, and Security when review and guidance is required
  • Develop, communicate, support and train, vendor credentialing team members in regulations, provider processes and requirements, credentialing strategies, best practices and processes for compliance
  • Responsible for driving efficiencies in both the processes and practices applicable to vendor credentialing to allow for scalable and repeatable design
  • Review, approve and manage training materials related to hospital access in order to meet industry standards, customer requirements
  • Represent Gore with third-party Vendor Credentialing Organizations, such as Intellicentrics, Vendormate, Symplr, and others
  • Attend and participate in the Consortium for Universal Healthcare Credentialing on behalf of Gore with the ability to influence and shape the future of credentialing in the industry

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years of relevant healthcare experience
    • Minimum 2 years' experience with Healthcare Vendor Credentialing Organizations
    • Demonstrated experience in project and process management
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguous environments, making informed decisions with limited information
    • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with ability to influence across teams
    • Proven track record of driving desired outcomes through strategic planning, effective prioritization, and proactive problem-solving with all levels internally and externally
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take on/lead multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

      Desired Qualifications:
      • Ability to effectively manage or lead small project teams
      • Proficient in the use and interpretation of legal/medical terminology
      • Experience/membership within Consortium for Universal Healthcare Credentialing (C4UHC)
