Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our Prepared Foods department, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assist Team Leader: Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist with analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Develop Creative Store Layout: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Customer Service: Foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, and consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals.
• Point Person: Function as the point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy; growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
