- The Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture (ISMA)
directorate develops, evaluates, and implements architectures
solutions for our customers' largest, most complex challenges
across all operational domains.
- We push the boundaries of innovation to establish next
generation mission solutions and chart a course for Raytheon and
our customers.
- Supporting this mission are teams driving flexible integration
solutions crossing all product areas (sensors, effectors, command
and control, logistics and operations), developing tools and
methods to evaluate system level studies and visualization based on
customer requirements.
- The Air Dominance Modeling and Analysis Section conducts a wide
variety of detailed mission analysis, performance analysis, and
kill chain analysis utilizing high-fidelity simulations and testbed
architecture. What You Will Do
- You will be responsible for the oversight of approximately
15-20 engineers who support airborne kill chain, and you will be a
key focal point and mentor within the department, bringing
influence skills that foster teamwork and interdependent
execution.
- The section leader role is only 10-20% of your time. In this
role you will provide administrative and technical oversight of the
section while maintaining current day-to-day engineering activities
while supporting department and directorate level initiatives.
- As section leader you will take a primary role in the talent
acquisition, goal setting, career development, performance
appraisals, and compensation processes. The successful section
leader will ensure that each direct report has suitable work
assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. You will
also ensure employee compliance with company policies and
procedures
- You will provide oversight of team activities in the
development of studies of system, system-of-systems, and/or kill
chain performance.
- You will interact with section members in evaluating new
concepts of operation and developing new technology use cases.
- You will have extensive interaction with Program Managers,
Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs as well as with the customer
community and air combat warfighter community to share status,
issues, and address programmatic concerns.
- You will oversee the direct line management activities for the
section including communication, performance management, career
development, and talent acquisition while supporting department and
directorate level initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of
Engineering experience OR an advanced degree in STEM and 8 years of
Engineering experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security
clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.
- Experience in the defense industry and working with DoD,
Pentagon, or military customers
- Experience leading an engineering team and relevant experience
in defense modeling, high-fidelity simulations, weapon systems,
and/or kill chain analysis
- Experience in leadership skills and outstanding communication
skills is required. Qualifications We Prefer
- Master's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or
Mathematics (STEM) is preferred
- Experience in cross-industry collaboration with industry
partners, customer, and warfighters
- Experience in developing and/or using high performance or
high-fidelity simulations in defense applications.
- Hold a Top Secret / SCI Clearance, Experience with computer
communication through ports, sockets, and UDP/TCP
- Experience with Python and C++, Experience as a Control Account
Manager
- Experience in Earned Value Management System Certification,
Competency with Microsoft Office tool suite including Project,
Engineering domain experience in defense sensors, missiles, and/or
electronic warfare systems. What We Offer

- Location: This position is for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The
salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of
all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending
an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and
associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience,
location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not
