Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid)
Type: Contract to HireAs a Migration Developer, you'll be part of a professional services team, analyzing and transferring client information to our company's platforms. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing data transfer processes and strategies to support system updates, information consolidations, and software transitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data transfer technologies, an understanding of database structures, and the ability to ensure smooth and accurate information transitions.Your role:

• Work with Business Analysts, Solutions Architects, client stakeholders, and software providers to understand how information is structured and used in existing systems.
• Create approaches for obtaining legacy system data, transforming it, and integrating it into our client's platform.
• Upkeep a custom-built transfer tool developed in Java.
• Devise methods to monitor transfer quality and generate reports confirming complete data transfer for clients.
• Guide clients through successful testing and verification of transferred data.
• Support Business Analysts in creating technical project documentation to explain the transfer process.What you've got:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical experience with Web application development, Database design, and application architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise integration solutions (SOA/ESB) (familiarity with Dell Boomi is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and SQL query language.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Understanding of database design principles.
  • Experience in data warehousing is beneficial.
  • Eagerness to learn and motivation for self-improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Persistent in analyzing problems, attentive to details, and skilled at breaking down findings to provide logical solutions.Preferred Skills:
    • Advanced Data Transfer Expertise: Proven experience with complex data transfers, including planning, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for large datasets.
    • Java Proficiency: Strong background in Java, particularly for maintaining and enhancing custom tools, with experience in JavaScript and SQL for data manipulation and scripting.
    • Database Design and Optimization: Deep understanding of database design, data modeling, and optimization strategies, especially within a transfer context.
    • Quality Assurance & Data Validation: Knowledge of data validation techniques, testing procedures, and quality control strategies to ensure data accuracy and integrity post-transfer.
    • Data Warehousing & Integration Solutions: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and enterprise integration tools, such as SOA/ESB frameworks; hands-on experience with Dell Boomi is a plus.
    • Technical Documentation Skills: Ability to assist in creating comprehensive technical project documents that communicate complex transfer processes clearly.
    • Agile Methodologies: Proven success in Agile environments, including Scrum, with strong collaborative skills to work cross-functionally within an Agile team.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
