  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!!
  • There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.

    • Active AZ license or compact
    • Ability to titrate cardiac drips
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts)
    • Must take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
      • Schedule Information
      • Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting
      • There will be frequent floating to the sister facility
      • Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
      • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
      • The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles
      • Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus
      • Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7-7
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period
      • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: CV Tele B3A, MedSurg C5, A3 Neuro, MedSurg B2C
        • Beds: Varying numbers across different units
        • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment
        • Ratios: Mostly 1:3-4
        • Scrubs Color: Navy
        • Tele: Must be able to interpret EKGs
        • Vents: No
        • Pharmacy: 24/7
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Varies among units, including post cath lab, post vascular procedures, general tele, neuro post surgical, spine, CVAs, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology
          • Additional Details
          • Floating is required
          • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD
          • Will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
          • Study guides will be provided with first day instructions
          • Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
