• Certs: BLS, ACLS
• MUST HAVE TELE EXPERIENCE
  • Job Details
  • ACLS, BLS; Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
  • Unit: MedSurg A3 (formerly C5)
  • # of beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.
  • Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night.
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.
  • IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.
  • RT 24/7: Yes
  • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn).
  • Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone); first to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert
    • Schedule Information
    • Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7.
    • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.

      • Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.

        • **Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
        • **There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.
        • **MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS
