Center for Advanced Surgery is seeking an experienced RN
Pre-Op/PACU Nurse Manager to lead our outstanding team of
healthcare professionals.Job Summary: The RN Pre-Op/PACU Nurse
Manager will be responsible for the overall management of Pre-Op
and PACU departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient
care and the effective operation of these units.The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in nursing management, excellent
leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the
Clinical Director and other members of the management team. They
will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and
coordinating patient care from admission to discharge, as well as
promoting departmental goals and objectives in accordance with
established policies.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Clinical Director in the effective fiscal management
of the Pre-Op and PACU departments.
- Assist with quality improvements and maintenance of
departmental/patient/visitor/physician and team safety.
- Oversee the Pre-Op and PACU departments, ensuring that quality
control requirements are met per center policies.
- Provide leadership in the management, organization, and
performance of specialized patient care.
- Share clinical expertise with the team and demonstrate a
commitment to team development.
- Participate in the process of interviewing and selection of
personnel and assist with performance appraisals according to
personnel policies.
- Ensure that the team completes unit-specific and nursing core
competencies in a timely manner.
- Routinely spend individual time with the team on the nursing
units doing team education.
- Present clinical updates at team meetings throughout the
year.
- Develop, implement, and re-evaluate unit-specific orientation
programs.
- Ensure established teaming patterns are met and competency
standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide safe patient
care across the surgery center.Required Skills:
- Has successfully completed the program at an accredited school
of nursing with a current state RN license.
- 2 years of management experience in acute care, ASC experience
is a plus.
- Experience in GI is a plus.USPI complies with federal, state,
and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
