Job Title:HOA Operations ManagerLocation:AZ - Chandler 3075What you'll do:The Operations Manager III - Relationship Banking will oversee a regional HOA banking operations team, ensuring smooth workflow, efficiency, and adherence to applicable policies and procedures. A regional HOA banking operations team consists of HOA Relationship Bankers and Managers who are the main points of contact in a designated region for homeowner associations and community management business customers. The manager will handle tasks like setting goals and objectives, liaising with clients, ensuring transactions are done timely, correctly, and resolving issues. They will oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of regional staff, prepare status reports, handle escalated calls and correspondence, plan, direct, or coordinate the delivery HOA products and services. The manager will support HOA Operations and Sales to build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders and grow relationships by providing excellent customer service in support of business profitability and deposit goals.What we are looking for:

  • Oversee regional banking teams to ensure proper support of daily HOA banking operations such as new and closed account requests, account maintenance, research, transaction processing, ICS and CDAR processing, assistance with wires, ACH services, lockbox, and Positive Pay.
  • Oversee and support, as needed, the team in completing research and resolving adjustment items created by missing transactions, encoding errors, listing errors, misreads, etc.
  • Maintains strong understanding of all HOA bank products and services provided to AAB clients and integrations to client external accounting software.
  • Collaborate with AAB Sales to build trust and enhance the customer relationship by identifying, recommending, and delivering bank treasury management products/service opportunities in support of customer and business line profitability and bank deposit goals.
  • Collaborates with customers to manage difficult situations that may have a negative impact on their business.
  • Evaluate individual performance and overall team effectiveness, including setting SMART goals and providing timely performance feedback. Direct managers in any team performance calibration.
  • Ensure adherence to AAB risk management guidelines, processes and monitoring of KRIs. Test risk controls, as directed. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, document, implement and monitor KRIs and controls.
  • Ensure bankers follow and support fraud control procedures, and support customers and Fraud Control team to actively mitigate bank and customer risk of monetary loss.
  • Drive and support the development of internal and customer user guides, desktop, and department procedures.
  • Set and drive alignment of goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives. Identify and lead adoption, usage, and reinforcement of change as change agent. Provide strong leadership and direction to enhance effectiveness of change.
  • Ensure customers are provided with post-implementation and training support once on-boarding and software transitions are completed.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, and supports training of managers and bankers.
  • Prepare, equip, and support existing and future managers.
  • Manages and/or supports medium to large complex projects and drives results toward successful achievement of objectives.What you need to have:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in related field a plus.
    • 5+ years of direct, related experience in HOA Banking, Treasury Management or Banking Operations Leadership roles.
    • Strong leadership experience managing and developing staff required.
    • Advanced knowledge of general banking, including an understanding of bank products, services, regulations, policies, and procedures, risk assessment and mitigation with an emphasis in treasury and/or HOA banking.
    • A self-starter and collaborative teammate with excellent problem-solving skills. Proactive in understanding the root of an issue and collaborating to consider a wide range of solutions before moving forward.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and thoughts with clarity, confidence, and respectfulness.
    • Must be flexible and adapt quickly to change, displaying a strong openness to feedback and continuous learning.
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
