The Opportunity:The PHCS Pharma Partnering Director plays a crucial role in evaluating, identifying, and managing strategic partnerships with global pharmaceutical partners seeking biomarker and diagnostic support in their personalized medicine development processes. As a key member of Roche Diagnostics' PHCS partnering group, this position is accountable for account and relationship management for multiple partners, ensuring cross-functional alignment and driving revenue growth for the PHCS lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop global opportunities for personalized healthcare product development, catering to both domestic and international customers
  • Collaborate with lifecycle leadership and the legal department to negotiate Master and Project Collaboration Governing Agreements with pharma partners
  • Successfully negotiate and execute Project Schedules to align with both Roche's and the partner's financial requirements for a myriad of pathology lab service based offerings
  • Lead negotiations and execution of key legal agreements, including Material Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Scope Change Agreements, and Project Amendments
  • Ensure cross-business alignment across Roche Diagnostics' PHCS focused partnerships, including Core Lab and Molecular Lab collaborations spanning oncology, neurology, and general medicine strategic areas of interest
  • Support commercialization efforts and the execution of agreements across regional affiliates for pharma partners in support of worldwide decentralized testing
  • Maintain and grow a robust pipeline of opportunities derived from both cultivating existing partnerships and scouting new pharma partners
  • Monitor work to ensure quality and promote a "Quality First Time" approach.Who You Are:Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field required; Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree preferredExperience:
      • 8-10 years of experience in business, marketing, sales, or clinical fields, with a strong emphasis on strategic partnerships and companion diagnostics in the pathology space
      • Proven track record in achieving both company and individual goals through forging long-term effective partnerships, including pre-contract negotiations and post-contract alliance management
      • Experience with assessing companion diagnostic opportunities for strategic fit with corporate plans and conducting market assessments.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
        • Strong knowledge of global pharmaceutical and in vitro diagnostic markets, including product development strategies, regulatory environments, and commercialization processes
        • Deep understanding of diagnostic testing modalities, including IHC/ISH, PCR and immunoassay technologies
        • Ability to quickly identify market opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong capability to resolve problems collaboratively
        • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, achievement-oriented environment
        • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop team members

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
