world. The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department (also
known as the Bike Shop) helps Raytheon programs successfully
demonstrate solutions to their engineering problems. Our engineers
and technicians provide quick-turn innovation, design, fabrication,
assembly, test, and demonstration services. Our vertically
integrated team designs, fabricates, and tests mechanical,
electrical, and software solutions. In a fast paced highly
collaborative work environment our projects range from proof of
concept to flight hardware demonstration.What You Will Do
- Create project estimates for internal and external
customers
- Lead projects from concept development through test
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Support programs across all Raytheon product lines
- Occasional travel required ( 15%) Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant
experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Expertise designing in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
such as CREO, SolidWorks, Catia and/or NX
- Experience with design, fabrication, and/or testing
- Experience with cost and/or schedule estimates
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security
clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance. Qualifications We Prefer
- 5 or more years of experience working on government
contracts
- Experience with Raytheon engineering processes and tools
- Experience using traditional fabrication equipment (mills,
lathes, sheet metal, welding, etc.), and 3D printing
- Cross-discipline engineering knowledge and experience
(Electrical, Radio Frequency (RF), Software, etc.)What We Offer

- Location: Tucson, AZ: ,-az-location The salary range for this
role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a
good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
considers several factors when extending an offer, including but
not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities,
a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and
key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including
